Ranjan Kumar Behera

Assistant Professor

Dr. Ranjan Kumar Behera is currently working as an Assistant Professor (II) at the School of Mechanical Engineering in Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT), Deemed to be University, Bhubaneswar, since 7th July 2014. He has completed his Ph.D. at the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad. He has completed his M.Tech. from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela in the specialization of Machine Design & Analysis. He has been awarded Certificate of Merits and also awarded Institute Silver Medal as 1st Position in M.Tech. in Machine Design & Analysis at NIT Rourkela. He has completed his B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from the College of Engineering & Technology (CET, currently OUTR), Bhubaneswar. He has over ten years of teaching experience and more than eight years of research experience. He has already taught Engineering Mechanics, Engineering Thermodynamics, Machine Dynamics, Mechanics of Solid, and Machine Design courses to UG students and Finite element analysis, and Analysis and Performance of Composite Materials courses to PG students. He has guided two M.Tech. students as a co-supervisor. He has published a good number of research papers in reputed international journals and presented papers in international conferences. His broad research areas are Mechanical Vibration, Artificial Intelligence Technique, Fault Detection, Fracture Mechanics, Adhesive Bonded Joints Analysis, Composite materials, and FGM. Apart from this, he holds memberships of various professional bodies like The Institution of Engineers (IE India), Indian Science Congress (ISC), International Association of Advanced Materials (IAAM), Sweden, Institute of Research Engineers and Doctors (IRED), International Association of Engineers (IAENG), International Society for Research and Development (ISRD).
