KIIT School of Mechanical Engineering conducted its eighth talk under the ‘Alumni Talk Series’ on 17th August 2023 in collaboration with the KIIT Alumni Association. In this informative and interactive webinar, Mr. Myukh Singh a KIIT alumnus of 2019 batch, presently working as design intern, Tesla, Gigafactory Berlin, Germany.
Mr. Mayukh Singh discussed on the topic “Misconceptions of Mechanical Design”. Mr. Mayukh Singh explained that a person working on product design must have sound knowledge on other areas as well. Also he suggested that instead learning many modeling software, one should learn one but he should have in-depth knowledge on that. He conveyed their gratitude towards KIIT
for their success. He praised this initiation of alumni connect and discussed its importance in professional and personal life of alumnus/alumna as well. The talk followed a thorough question-answer session. Prof. Bharat Chandra Routray, Dean, School of Mechanical Engineering also interacted with students and alumni. Few students also participated in the interactive session. This event is a stepping stone to more such sessions in the future, which will help bring together the student and alumni community for the University and the School. The session was coordinated and moderated by Prof. Prakash Ghose, Alumni Coordinator.
