KIIT School of Mechanical Engineering conducted their tenth talk under the ‘Alumni Talk Series’ on 23rd February 2024 in collaboration with the KIIT Alumni Association. In this informative and interactive webinar, Mr. Asish Kumar Patra a KIIT alumnus of 2020 batch, presently working as Engineer Ground Test & Functional Electric, Airbus, Bengaluru presented his talk.
Mr. Asish Kumar Patra discussed on the topic “Requirements for the Aerospace Industry”. Mr. Asish Kumar Patra explained about the current scope in Aerospace industry in India. He suggested that students must visit LinkedIn and Monster websites to see what kind of professional are required for Aerospace industries and according to the student must prepare themselves. He also mentioned that the CV of a fresher must be small enough and don’t write so many things. He suggested to enhance the skill in one or two areas rather than many areas. He conveyed their gratitude towards KIIT for their success. He praised this initiation of alumni connect and discussed its importance in professional and personal life of alumnus/alumna as well.
The talk followed a thorough question-answer session. Prof. Bharat Chandra Routray, Dean, School of Mechanical Engineering and Prof. Lalit Pothal, Dean Alumni interacted with students and alumni. Few students also participated in the interactive session. This event is a stepping stone to more such sessions in the future, which will help bring together the student and alumni community for the University and the School. The session was coordinated and moderated by Prof. Prakash Ghose, Alumni Coordinator.
