KIIT School of Mechanical Engineering conducted their fourth talk under the ‘Alumni Talk Series’ on 3rd August 2022 in collaboration with the KIIT Alumni Association. In this informative and interactive webinar, Mr. Prateek Jat is a Masters in Engineering Management student at University of Texas at Arlington, Texas, USA delivered his talk. Mr. Prateek Jat is an alumnus of 2017 batch School of Mechanical Engineering. Before that he worked as a project management trainee in Protecon btg Pvt. Ltd. He also worked as project Engineer in tender department in techno global services Pvt. Ltd. and Sr. Project Engineer in Business development department for potaliya Enterprises.

 

In this session Mr. Prateek Jat delivered his talk on the topic ‘A road to managerial roles’. He discussed about the role of manger and the key factors that makes a professional a successful manager in industries. He also discussed the procedure to get chance for higher study in the reputed Universities of academically advanced countries. He emphasized to do higher study with some industry experience to get a better opportunity in reputed industries. Wide job opportunities in abroad after the higher study are also discussed in his talk. He also conveyed his gratitude towards KIIT for his success. He also praised this initiation of alumni connect and discussed its importance in professional and personal life of alumnus/alumna as well.

 

The talk followed a thorough question-answer session. Prof. Bharat Chandra Routray, Dean, School of Mechanical Engineering also interacted with students and alumni. Prof. Sushant Tripathy extensively participated in interaction session. This event is a stepping stone to more such sessions in the future, which will help bring together the student and alumni community for the University and the School.
