M. Tech in Thermal Engineering
Eligibility Criteria :
- B.E. or B.Tech. or equivalent Degree (e.g. AMIE, GRADE-IETE etc) in Mechanical / Production Engineering with a First Class or equivalent CGPA.
- GATE qualified candidates shall be accorded preference in the process of selection. GATE qualified candidates having Score 400 or above need not sit in the entrance Examination.
Program Educational Objectives (PEO)
The M. Tech program in Mechanical Engineering aims to prepare the graduates with the following objectives:
PEO- I Pursue a successful career in the field of Mechanical Engineering, contribute significantly to their profession in industry, research and academia or undertake entrepreneurial endeavours.
PEO- II Continuously learn, engage and update themselves to carry out independent or collaborative research and handle constantly evolving technical and global challenges in their field of expertise.
PEO- III Develop leadership skills and demonstrate professional, social and ethical responsibilities as an individual.
Program Outcomes (POs)
PO 1: Ability to independently carry out research/ investigation and developmental work to solve practical problems.
PO 2: Ability to write and present a substantial technical report/document.
PO 3: Ability to demonstrate a degree of mastery in the area of Mechanical Engineering. The mastery should be a level higher than the requirements in the appropriate bachelor program.
PO 4: Ability to apply advanced knowledge, techniques, skills and modern tools in the area of Mechanical Engineering.

- Join a technical workforce as successful professionals in a wide range of mechatronics engineering and related domains.
