Dr. Nagu Daraboina

Dr. Nagu Daraboina is an Associate Professor in the Russell School of Chemical Engineering at The University of Tulsa and the Associate Director of the Tulsa University Paraffin Deposition Projects. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of British Columbia and a master’s degree from the Indian Institute of Science.

His research focuses on flow assurance, carbon capture, storage, and utilization (CCSU), produced water desalination, and energy recovery. Dr. Daraboina’s team has pioneered experimental methods to advance water treatment and carbon capture using hydrate technology.

He has published over 70 research articles, delivered more than 30 invited talks, and received prestigious awards, including the 2023 Donald W. Davidson Award for gas hydrate research and recognition among the top 2% most cited scientists in 2022. An influential researcher, he also serves as a director for the American Society of Engineering Education division.

  • Strong industry collaborations with Rolls-Royce, Siemens, Airbus, HP, KLM, and other
    global tech leaders.
