Dr. Kalyani Mohanta
Professor
Prof. Kalyani Mohanta completed B.E. in Ceramic Engineering from NIT Rourkela and received Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from IIT Kharagpur. She joined IIT (BHU), Varanasi, as a Reader in the Department of Ceramic Engineering in 2007 and promoted to Associate Professor in 2010. During 2014–2017, she served the School of SMMME, IIT Bhubaneswar on deputation. Prior to her academic career, she served TATA Refractories as Manager (R&D) during 1999 to 2003.
Prof. Mohanta has over 25 years of experience in industry and academia. Her research expertise includes development and characterization of ceramics and composites, foams and porous materials, waste management, etc. She has made significant research contributions in reputed international journals and holds 10 patents.

B.Tech in Ceramic Engineering from NIT, Rourkela/Ph.D in Materials Science and Engineering from IIT, Kharagpur
