Dr. B. Surekha

The PI, Dr. B Surekha has a total of more than 22 years of experience in teaching and around 12 years of research experience in the area of fabrication, microstructural and mechanical characterization of Al-based metal matrix composites. Her group at KIIT University mainly focus on the development of functionally graded materials of two dissimilar metals using conventional die casting method. This work was carried out as part of her DST-TARE project which was concluded in the year 2023. She possesses experience in developing experimental setup for varieties of casting processes. Dr. Surekha also has the experience of conducting experiments to determine the wear characteristics of the fabricated metal matrix composites.
