Biography and academic profile

Dr. Akshaya Kumar Rout (F-119513-8), a graduate in Mechanical Engineer from the Institution of Engineers, India, in 1991, M. Tech in 2004, IIT-Roorkee and Ph.D, NIT-Rourkela, in 2011, Currently working as Associate Professor in the School of Mechanical Engineering from 2010 to till date, KIIT Deemed to be University, Bhubaneswar till date. Guided 15 M. Tech students and 05 Ph.D students. Also published 40 National/International journals and 60 National/International conference papers, five projects and attended 40 short term courses.
Received 10 professional bodies membership viz. IE(FELLOW) and Also Chartered Engineer, (SESI-INDIA), (ASME-USA), (IAENG-LONDON), ISCA-INDIA. Visited China in 2008, Italy in 2011 and Tokyo(Japan) in 2016, to attend an International conference.

(1) Gouri Sankar Sahu Memorial Award achieved for the paper entitled “Influence of Compression Ratio on Combustion Characteristics of Argemone Mexicana Biodiesel Blends” during the 59th Annual Technical Session held on 21st January-2018 at Odisha State Center, The Institution of Engineers (India), Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
(2) BEST ISTE CHAIRMAN, FACULTY CHAPTER award achieved given by ISTE, New Delhi, Odisha Section, during the Inaugural function of the 22nd ISTE Annual faculties convention held at NIST, Berhampur, on 7th December. 2019.
(3) Brundaban Sahu Memorial Award achieved for the paper entitled “Optimization of process parameters in Nd: YAG laser microdrilling of polymer matrix composite with nanofillers” during the 62th Annual Technical Session and 19th Prof. Bhubaneswar Behera Memorial Lecture held on 28th March-2021 at Odisha State Center, The Institution of Engineers (India), Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
(4) Er. Pratap Chandra Panda Award achieved for the paper entitled “Supply Chain Performance Assessment by Fuzzy Logic” during the 62th Annual Technical Session and 19th Prof. Bhubaneswar Behera Memorial Lecture held on 28th March-2021 at Odisha State Center, The Institution of Engineers (India), Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
