Biography and academic profile
Prof. Ajay Kumar Behera is a full-time faculty of the School of Mechanical Engineering, KIIT Deemed to be the university. Prior to joining KIIT, he worked as a Lecturer in Utkal Aerospace and Engineering, Bhubaneswar. He holds a master’s degree in design engineering from IIT Delhi, India. He is having good research experience in the field of High strain material behavior, Cold spray coating, Nozzle design, 3D Printing, CFD, and FEM. He is also involved in various Product design ideas and filed few patents in his name. Besides teaching and research, he was also involved in giving skills development programs to international students coming to the university. He has Ten years of experience in the field of Teaching and Research. His teaching mainly includes design subjects such as Mechanics of Materials, Fundamental of Machine Design, Design of Machine Elements, and Theory of Machines. Apart from teaching and research, he is an active member of the Quality and Assurance cell of the school; he engages in various accreditation processes like NBA, NAAC, IET, ABET, etc for the school.
