Mrutyunjay Jena is a Post Graduate in Mechanical Engineering with 18 years of industrial experience in Gas Turbine Engine Domain in India and abroad. He has achieved experience in the area of gas turbine engine performance analysis, defect investigation and engine troubleshooting, operation and testing of hydro-mechanical fuel and jet nozzle control systems, engine testing, and engine testbed calibration. He is proficient in performance and emission analysis of land-based gas turbine engines for power generation and preparation of the technical proposals. He is a result-oriented Project Manager/Engineer with experience in Project Management, Training, Technical Support, and Client Relations. He possesses excellent interpersonal, communication, problem solving and decision making skills. He was awarded for significant contribution to quality control, successful project delivery and productivity improvement. He has undergone advanced training on Gas Turbine Engines by Russian specialists and at Pratt & Whitney, USA and at Thermoflow Inc., Sudbury, Massachusetts, USA. In addition to the above-cited experience, he has 4 years of work experience in the academic profession and currently he is working as a faculty member of School of Mechanical Engineering, KIIT (Deemed to be University), Bhubaneswar and assigned as Programme Head of Aerospace Engineering. His major job responsibility includes teaching, laboratory facility set-up, quality assurance and accreditation activities.
