On 5 th August 2023, NSS SME organized a event “At the Edge: 1945” on the occasion of Hiroshima Day in order to pay tribute to those who lost their lives in the nuclear attack on 6 th and 9 th august 1945 at Seminar Hall, School of Mechanical Engineering. The program started by 5:00 PM. The event kick started with an welcome address by Chiranjivi Joshi, Student Coordinator, NSS-School of Mechanical Engineering. This was followed by a quiz where audiences interacted on the topic and a mime. A mime consisted of play by student volunteers depicting the daily routine of Japanese people and American air force and how the blast ended every thing. The event was hosted by Angelina Q. The event then continued by a situation narration on the after effects of Japanese city reconstruction and museum and survivors of attack.The event proved its effect in raising condolence among audience.Event was again then followed by a quiz for audience interaction and was wrapped up with a vote of thanks by Sahil Singh and Sashna Singh Baral, Assistant Student Coordinators, NSS- School of Mechanical Engineering. School of Mechanical Engineering expresses their thanks and gratitude to KIIT NSS Bureau and authorities of KIIT University for their constant support and guidance.
